My Story

Face in the dust, hands in the air begging for some hope. Not that sappy feel good type of hope that has clippped wings and bears no fruit. I needed the hope that doesn’t disappoint, that waits for things to get better.

The hope that isn’t wishful thinking, but action taking, shaken up and running over making waves and stirring my heart.

That’s when I coined the acronym: H.O.P.E. Hope is the Healing of Problems Everday .

We hear alot about faith, hope, love, and true self-care like they are items in a vending machine. You can’t just pop them in your life without some tools.

I’ve been stuck like that candy bar hanging from the tongs in the machine, when you beat on the glass and try to shake it loose —-AND IT DOESN’T WORK!

I’ve always had faith, tons of love, but hope was eluding me because I didn’t understand it. Hope says wait, but is stark in its honesty of accesing a situation. Hope doesn’t sugar-coat, but hope IS ABOUT  POSSIBILITIES.

Hope tells you other people have been through the same or worst circumstance.

Hope tells you others have thought the same, said the same words, prayed the same prayers, shed the same tears, and wanted more joy in their life.

I wanted MORE TRUST IN GOD.

Hope was the vehicle leading to deep trust IN THE GOODNESS OF GOD.

So, I took the first steps  to deal with the grief of losing my mom and aunt (way too soon), anxiety, and worry by harnessing hope.

You can too!

Let’s journey together with hope.
